2021 Lincoln Nautilus vs 2022 Acura MDX

Lincoln Nautilus

While shopping for a luxury SUV, your search led you to the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus and the 2022 Acura MDX. What could be finer than driving through Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids, and Rockford, Michigan, relying on the surefire performance and elegance each one brings. But only one luxury car will do, so the team at LaFontaine Lincoln of Grand Rapids has charted the differences between them to help you decide.

Relaxing on the Road

Lincoln Nautilus Interior

Looking for a little me time while you drive? The Lincoln Nautilus comes with the relaxation you need before starting your busy day with available Ultra Comfort 22-way front seats. They contain Active Motion®, a series of 11 independent air cushions, seven of which feature massage settings. Say ah!

At its best, the Acura provides optional 16-way power front seats to adjust to the ideal position.

Sufficient space allows you to stretch out and relax even more. In the Lincoln Nautilus, you’re afforded 39.9 inches of front headroom and 42.8 inches of front legroom. With the Acura, the front headroom measures 38.5 inches while the legroom spans 41.6 inches.

More Screens, More Speakers

Lincoln Nautilus Technology Features

Both vehicles provide a 12.3-inch Instrument Cluster Display that presents your car’s operations. The center screens hover close in size, but the Lincoln Nautilus gives you a 13.2-inch SYNC® 4 touchscreen center stack display. It includes an added Connected Built-in Navigation system.

You’ll find a similar display in the Acura—a 12.3-inch center screen with the Acura Navigation System—but, as you can see, the screen offers less.

With both cars, get connected to Wi-Fi. The Lincoln Nautilus gives you 4G LTE Wi-Fi with the ability to hook up 10 devices. Wi-Fi connectivity comes in the Acura but only for three devices.

Coordinate your massage seats with serene music through the 19-speaker Revel® Ultima Audio System in the Lincoln Nautilus. If you wish to enhance your music in the Acura, upgrade to the 16-speaker ELS STUDIO 3D® Premium Audio System.

Blind Spot and Parking Assistance

Lincoln Nautilus Safety Technology

Many of the safety systems in these two models resemble each other, so you’ll feel confident behind the wheel of either SUV. Some systems, though, may differ with their availability and what they can do.

The Lincoln Nautilus comes with Blind Spot Detection with Cross-Traffic Alert to warn you about that hard-to-see area. While the Acura MDX does have a Blind Spot Information System, it’s an addition to your car.

If you add the Enhanced Active Park Assist to your Lincoln Nautilus, audible and visual alerts sound through the use of sensors. You’ll also gain extra help when parallel parking. Front and Rear Parking Sensors can be added to the Acura.

More Torque for Your Drives

For drivers tackling a city commute, the Lincoln Nautilus achieves an EPA-estimated 21 city/26 highway MPG.* The Acura achieves an EPA-estimated 19 city/26 highway MPG. So, while they both offer comparable highway gas mileage, the city belongs to the Lincoln Nautilus.

Lincoln Nautilus Engine Specs

You’ll also get the support of more torque through the Lincoln Nautilus 2.0L turbocharged I-4 engine. It supplies 280 lb-ft of torque to give your engine more strength. If you drive the Acura, it uses 267 lb-ft of torque.
